Barley challenge and introduction of duck egg!
We were asked to bring fresh duck eggs to the visit today. $11/dozen
Jett knows the routine now! That there are video games in the lobby while he waits, hooked up to the monitor to check vitals, challenge, exercise, then introduction of new food.
Jett challenged barley at 1g baked in and passed! Now 1/4 tsp barley flour becomes part of daily morning maintenance (along with the others we’ve been doing: 1 macadamia nut, 1/4 tsp sesame, 1/2 tsp almond).
Next was his first taste of egg, at .1ml of duck egg yolk (smaller than a dime) cooked in the microwave, mixed with about 2oz of rice (to prevent his stomach from becoming upset). No signs of reactions so we are to dose duck egg yolk in the afternoon daily for the next 6 weeks in progressive increments of: .1ml, .3ml, .6ml, 1ml, 2ml, and 3ml.
Next visit will be the duck egg challenge, 6ml! with introduction of wheat germ (for wheat allergy!). Making steady progress already!
We celebrated with dairy free froyo at the end!
