Visit #12 (6/29/20)

Rens is taking Jett alone to the appointments to limit exposure. Today Jett challenged 30ml goat milk and passed! He was also introduced to Brazil nut (In gummy form). We also received our blood test results back and numbers have gone down which means the program is working! However, we also learned he is anaphylactic to hazelnut.

Now, his maintenance has changed to:

Weekly: 1/4tsp sesame, 1/2tsp almond, 1/2tsp pistachio, 1tsp cashew

Twice weekly: Egg (20ml yolk + 20ml white)

Daily: 1.5tsp wheat germ CAPPED

*Capped means he is limited on the amount.

Macadamia (as tolerated)

Before, he had to have the following DAILY:

- 1/4tsp sesame

- 1/2tsp almond

- 1.5tsp wheat germ (capped)

- 12ml egg yolk

- 10ml egg white (capped)

- 1/2tsp pistachio

- 1tsp cashew

- 60ml mare milk (capped)

This is a huge difference! He is also able to have unlimited amount of egg if it’s 4 hours before his treatment foods in the evening.

He will have to continue with goat milk and an additional treatment foods at once for the next 8 weeks:

Denatured goat milk escalation (boiled):

Week 1 & 2: 30ml

Week 3: 35ml

Week 4: 40ml

Week 5: 45ml

Week 6: 50ml

Week 7: 55ml

Week 8: 60ml until next visit

Brazil nut:

Week 1: 25mg

Week 2: 50mg

Week 3: 100mg

Week 4: 250mg

Week 5: 1/8tsp

Week 6: 1/4tsp

Week 7: 1/2tsp

*mg given in gummy form provided by the clinic.

The program is working! The last photo is what happened when Jett took a sip of water out of Rens’ water bottle after Rens had eaten a granola bar with egg in it. We are so grateful!
